The aborted covers sends me back to the drawing board. Several versions later, I am happy with the spider dropping in on the butterfly. On the slipcase, the spider has the butterfly in its grasp. The even pages show the butterfly next to the page number, the odd the spider. I see this as the spider pursuing the butterfly.
