Thank You for a Wonderful Year!

I’m very proud, pleased, and excited to say The Writing Machine is one year old!

Despite my overly-ambitious publishing schedule, I’ve managed to make it a full year with only a few missed posts and a single month hiatus
(only because of freelance work). On August 7, 2005, I pushed out the first
story, Words,
and since then, you - my wonderful readers - have been slowly and surely
showing up, making every Sunday morning I wake up early to finish my
posts worth it.

I’ll spare you the long explanation of my philosophy versus how the writing world really works and just say that the idea of “giving your stories
away on the web” is not considered smart by some people. But when I view
the traffic stats and see more and more readers coming in each
month spending long
durations of time reading multiple pages, I am overjoyed. My only regret is
that I can’t do more than say, “Thank you for reading The Writing Machine!” And
since nude pictures of me probably won’t do the trick…

year!

And as always, you are stranger here but once. Come back often, stay long, and I’ll keep the writing coming.
