I Remember Remembering

MEMOIR PROJECT ROUGH DRAFT

I remember the first time I remembered. I had a moment where I woke up one morning in my Grandpa Abraham’s house and remembered going into the kitchen on a cold, gray, winter morning and asking my mom for chocolate milk. And in my freshly awoken state, I realized that was over a year ago. I had grown up a full year and it seemed very far away. I remember laying there, remembering, and I haven’t changed much since.
